Wiki So Far

So far, I have conducted extensive research with regards to the pages that I plan on editing/creating. I interned at a Healthcare focused investment bank, where I had the chance to work with a healthcare social networking company. I made a word doc about everything I learned about the company and its effect on the industry, and I plan to incorporate all of this knowledge on the healthcare page on our wiki.

Over the past 2.5 years, I've been lucky enough to have interned at 6 different banks/firms, and have experienced 50+ interviews during this time. These experiences have allowed me to develop a strategy towards recruitment. I plan on sharing these strategies and a list of do's and don'ts as well on the recruitment page.

As was evidenced by my term paper, media is my favorite sector when it comes to business. I conducted extensive research on podcasting for my term paper, and have in the past made presentations about the rapidly evolving video streaming market. I plan on editing the streaming media page, talking about the recent launch of Disney+.

    I am astonished you interned in 6 different firms/banks. You mind giving me any advice for getting an internship? You definitely have a bright future heading your way. Adding information about Disney Plus is interesting because I don't know too much about it. Apparently I heard it has all the Marvel movies and I am intrigued to subscribe to it.

Modeling Reality with Virtual Worlds

People tend to think of technology's biggest benefit being the exponential increase of convenience in our daily lives. However, technology has allowed for the creation of virtual worlds where humans can go through experiences that they haven't done in real life or don't want to experience in real life. The History and Future of Podcasts

     I will be conducting research on the history and future of podcasts. Podcasts are one form of new media and can be thought of as the modern version of radios. People of various ages, ethnicities, academic backgrounds and genders, all listen to podcasts as there is a wealth of audio content out there to keep everyone engaged and entertained. In my term paper, I will be researching about the emergence of podcasts, how they have evolved since they were first introduced and what the future looks like for the industry. At the end of the day, podcasting is also a business, which is why I'll be looking at the growth of the industry's value, along with merger/acquisition activity in the space.
